timeless childhood

Time is the breath of life. If one runes out of time, life comes to a standstill.
We are so busy with our lives that we have no time to stand and stare...at all those things that make our lives complete...a laughter, a quiet moment of peace, a moment that makes us smile and reflect,a moment that you would never let go of...
How many of us wish to hold back time....how we wish that we go back to our childhood where there was no rush, no boundaries of time, no responsibilities, no worries!
How does a child look into time? What is time for a child? Does it have any significance for him? Does he keep pace with the changing time?Does a child follow movement of the two needles in synchronization? How does he want to represent time?

Doctor Vs God

Hi! I have resumed blogging after pretty long & am determined to be regular now onward.

Just happened to be a 'family dog' (silent observer) at a doctor patient interaction session. The patient at the scene was accompanied by her husband & was listening intently to the surgeon who was trying to explain her condition & procedure for surgery.
For the surgeon its takes a fine balance of words to not make something look like a regular chore or just a simple job while ensuring that the patient is able to develop enough trust on the person who is taking responsibility of her life.
This surgeon, I must say,was very good at his(this) job. He allowed the conversation to flow in the patient's way. When this patient wanted to talk about her most auspicious day or when she spoke about how her God had always protected her from all perils of life...the surgeon made sure that with each word he spoke she became lighter & more confident.
For the first time I realized how critical it is for doctors to build up a relation with their patient & how much pressure this job entails...
hence the reward...this doctor becomes nothing less than God for the patient when the result is positive!

One of the oldest TV advertisement for toys

Hi all!

I am back after a looong time and hope to be a regular blogger from this year :)

Wanted to share a you tube link which shows 1960's TV commercial on toys. That was the time when TV used to be the best source of advertising and kids would jump up with excitement to say "That's the toy I want!"

Here's the link :

inspirations...:)

Hi!
I have been reveling since my last blog...Lot of reasons..
watching Oba(mania) and hope in people's eyes
getting to know that "PANTONE 14-0848 Mimosa is the Pantone colour of the year, to cheer us all amidst job losses and other side effects of recession(and it suits me well, too!:) ),
the experience of watching Slumdog Millionaire,
ecstasy of A.R. Rahman's award winning celebration by the nation,
India's 8th ODI win in a row,
few get-to-gether with old friends and lot more!
A minute ago, I came across a presentation, which would be a great inspiration for Designers, especially Interaction Designers
Here is the link: http://www.slideshare.net/dansaffer/new-sources-of-inspiration-for-interaction-designers

This presentation gives examples of how designers can create exemplary designs by bringing together two unrelated things/disciplines.

Just after seeing the last slide of the presentation, I asked myself :
"Is this how some people manage to get inspired to stay happy always?"
"Can this be applied to our lives , too, to achieve a high hapiness quotient, always?"
" Can this help an individual, alter one's perception towards life and ongoing events in life?"

Just a thought....:)
Ciao!

Commotion!-Francobelge design

Hi! Wish you all a very Happy and prosperous New Year!!
Commotion is not tolerable to everybody except the person who is creating it...
This game reminded me of another game which is widely played in China, where the players are allowed to relieve themselves of the day's stress by throwing clay saucers against a wall!
Commotion is a new form of play over a scalectrix style racing toy. The player controls the cars throttle with their voice, through a microphone built into a helmet. The louder you are, the faster the car will go. If you come off the track however, the helmet will shake. An interesting take on the process of play of an existing toy. Video attached!

P.S. : I am unable to upload video on my blog...plz follow the link above to view the video.

Ciao!
